Technology has changed the face of the classroom forever. Here, at the Office of Extended Education & Outreach, we’ve embraced the future with outstanding distance learning programs for high school, undergraduate and graduate students. A listing of our program offerings can be found below.
High School
We offer two programs for high school students.
Independent Study High School (high school credits for high school students)
This program provides an alternative educational setting for students to earn high school credits towards a high school diploma, whether that diploma is earned through the ISHS or the credit is transferred. For more information, click here.
Advanced Scholars (College Credits for High School Students)
By partnering with high schools, this program enables top high school juniors, seniors and high-ability or gifted students the opportunity to enroll in UNL online courses for college credit. For more information, click here.
Undergraduate
We offer a variety of courses and programs at the undergraduate level.
Online and Distance Education Courses
UNL offers a variety of courses in various formats in order to meet your distance learning or online needs. Some of these formats are available exclusively to UNL students, while others do not require UNL admission.
Online Undergraduate Degree Completion Programs
Complete your degree online, working on your terms from anywhere you choose. Degree Completion allows students with an associate’s degree, or a minimum of 64 credit hours to apply that credit toward a bachelor’s degree from UNL.
Certificates
We currently offer one undergraduate certificate, and are looking to add more soon.
Graduate
We offer a variety of Masters, Doctorates and certificates at the graduate level.
Graduate Programs
We currently offer Masters Degrees from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the College of Architecture, the College of Business Administration, the College of Education and Human Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
We currently offer two Doctoral degrees from the College of Education and Human Sciences.
We currently offer certificates in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the College of Education and Human Sciences, and the College of Engineering. Additionally, we offer an Educational Specialist Degree as well as multiple endorsements from the College of Education and Human Sciences.
